I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
